A deeply personal organ recording shaped over six years: begun after John Frans retired from his corporate career, developed through the disruptions of load shedding, and completed as one of the most rewarding projects of his musical life.
The programme moves from ceremonial brilliance to prayer, lyricism and stillness. Hollins, Franck, Bach, Parry, Cocker, Boëllmann, Mendelssohn, Widor and Saint-Saëns reveal the pipe organ not simply as an instrument of grandeur, but as a voice capable of intimacy, tenderness and reflection.
