John Frans is a South African choral conductor, organist, musical director and mentor whose contribution to choral music spans more than five decades.
His work has been rooted particularly in sacred, classical and community choral traditions, bringing singers together through performance, mentorship and musical development.
Over the years, Frans has directed choirs, curated and produced concerts, and championed opportunities for communities to engage with major works from the choral repertoire. He is the founder and conductor of St. Luke’s Chorale, through which he continues his commitment to presenting high-quality choral music and cultivating an appreciation for the classical choral tradition.
